Radio control XRB SR debut!

Even first time pilots can hover with some practice.
A 15 minutes long stable flight with Li-po battery

XRB SR inherited counter rotation system from cable XRB. Hovering is very stable. SR flies more silently, and maneuvers better. Small body contains very efficient coreless motors, and all electronics. With Lithium polymer battery, flight time is 15 minutes. It will take approx 1-1.5 hours for charging.

Product notice for XRB SR batteries (0301-032)
We have received several reports for broken batteries. After flying XRB SR, please make sure to disconnect battery from helicopter. Also, if you are not planning to fly XRB for a while, please charge battery before storing. Leaving empty lithium polymer battery for a long time can cause overdischarging, which will break batteries. Keep connecting battery to helicopter will cause same thing much earlier.

Can we convert cable version to SR?
Is there any conversion set?
Several parts such as cabin, tail truss or blades are the same. However, main frame and electronics are completely redesigned just for SR. Therefore it is impossible to convert cable XRB to XRB SR.

Which one is better, cable or RC?
Both models have advantages.
Cable Lama Cable version is recommended for people with no RC experience.
  • Just open box and you can start flying.
  • No battery charge required.
  • No time limits (But please take some rest once in 20 minutes or so)
  • It cannot fly out of control.
  • Running costs are cheaper.
RC -SR Recommended for people with some RC experience.
  • You can fly more freely.
  • It can fly 15 minutes.
  • There is no cable to limit flight.
  • It maneuvers better.
  • You can use your transmitter (Futaba, JR or Sanwa. More than 4ch with PPM)

How long can it fly?
With lithium polymer battery included in kits, flight time is 15 minutes.
Li-po charger is included in kits. Charge time is approx 1-1,5 hours.

What will brake if I crash?
Main blades are most fragile. For safety reasons, they are made from foam. 3 sets of spare main blades are included in the kit.

Is a counter rotation helicopter easier to fly than single rotor ones?
Counter rotation is very stable for hovering. First time pilots can fly XRB with little practice. It has a unique structure. It is very stable and responsive. After some practice, you can land on a chair.
With no wind, XRB can fly hands off. However, due to its design, it is impossible to do acrobatic flight.

Does tail rotor move?
Dues to its structure, tail rotor is not necessary.

How can XRB turn without tail rotor?
Two rotors are turning to opposite direction. If rotor RPM is different, it will cause counter torque. XRB uses this counter torque to turn. Gyro automatically adjusts motor speed for stable hovering. Technology

What is the difference in rotor head?
Main mast...SR main mast is 20mm longer than cable version. It can improve maneuver and stability.
Stabilizer...Lightweight stabilizer can reduce resistance and weight.
Above: XRB stabilizer Below : SR stabilizer

What is different with coreless motors?
Reason for adopting this coreless motor is to cut weight. There are many additional improvements with this motor such as noise reduction, and better durability.
Please note : Even though SR flight time is 15 minutes, please try to land/rest once in several minutes. Keep flying 15 minutes can wear down motors very fast.
This coreless motor cannot be used for cable XRB.
Left : XRB SR coreless motor (18g)
   Right : XRB motor (32g)

How far can SR go?
Maximum range for this transmitter is approx. 70m-100m. However, SR will be hard to see beyond 20m due to its small size.
There is fail safe in SR. If signal from transmitter stops for any reason, SR can land softly.

Can I fly outside?
XRB is indoor only because it cannot fly even with little wind. It cannot fly outside.

Can I use my transmitter?
There is transmitter less versions. Transmitter must be
  • Futaba / JR / Sanwa
  • More than 4ch
  • With reverse
  • PPM type transmitter
  • Mixing cannot be used.
We have not tried transmitters from other manufacturers and they may not work properly with XRB SR.
